A Thirteenth Warrior occurs as 1999 action film based on Michael Crichton's novel Eaters of the Dead, directed by John McTiernan and an uncredited Crichton, and starring Antonio Banderas as Ahmed ibn Fahdlan (Aḩmad ibn Faḑlān) and Vladimir Kulich as Buliwyf (Beowulf).

Tagline: Fear reigns.

A frame story is adapted from either a tenth-century Arabic writings of Ibn Faḑlānorth, when a central sequence of cases is an adaptation of the Anglo-Saxon epic Beowulf. The flick attend the bit of pains to achieve a historical atmosphere, including have of Norwegian, Danish, Greek, and Latin dialogue.

This film is freed by Touchstone Pictures, and distributed by Buena Vista Pictures Distribution, Inc.
